Chords you will need: C major, G major, F major

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is super simple to learn due to it only needing three chords. Since it is a lullaby, the song lends itself to being played slowly, making it ideal for children.

Stand By Me is a great song for first-time players as it uses the same chord pattern of C - Am - F - G throughout. It has lovely lyrics, and is pefect for grown-ups to play with their little ones!

This classic ballad is originally from the movie-musical The Wizard of Oz, and works well as a simple ukulele song. Since it’s such a well-known tune, it makes it a great one to sing along with!

This popular 80s song is a great choice for ukulele since the chord patterns repeat a lot within the song. It is upbeat and fun to play, making it a good choice for beginners who are feeling a bit more confident with the four chords.

Riptide is a great song to develop your child’s ability to change chords as it is more fast paced than the other songs in our list. However, it still uses C, Am, F and G, making it a good option to build up to after becoming confident with some of the slower songs!
