As families gear up for Half Term and a break from school routines, as parents ourselves we understand the challenges of finding affordable and engaging activities to keep children entertained (especially if the weather's a bit dreary!)
So we've compiled a list of five brilliant and cost-free things to do with children in Warwickshire this February Half Term. We hope it's helpful!

Join Leamington Library for free, fun Shakespeare themed crafts, suitable for ages 4-11 years. Your little ones can learn about Shakespearean wonders, bringing the timeless tales of the Bard to life in a fun and hands-on experience. Booking required.

Market Hall Museum tells the story of Warwickshire, and how the shifting natural, built and human landscapes have shaped the county to the present day. Admission is free of charge, and there are plenty of fascinating exhibits to capture the imagination of young explorers. This Half Term they also have two exciting workshops offering youngsters the chance to dress like Tudor royalty and to find out how the Tudors celebrated with huge feasts and the entertainment. Workshop tickets are just £3 (or £5 if you want to take part in a juggling workshop too!)

Every Sunday you can drop-in to Warwick Arts Centre for creative workshops led by featured artists-in-residence. Working across visual arts, dance, drama, spoken word and music, they invite you to come and spend time together as a family making, exploring and having fun! There are Musical Picnics and Family Singing on select Sunday mornings too, so you can make a day of it! And it’s all totally free.

Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum has created a colourful Treasure Trail of Leamington's leisure gardens for the whole family to enjoy together. The trail takes about an hour through the Jephson and Pump Room Gardens, with activities and interactive features, all beautifully illustrated in an easy to follow booklet. Pick up your free one from the Royal Pump Rooms Visitors Information Desk, or download a copy to print at home.

The Glasshouse in Jephson Gardens is well worth a visit, especially if you fancy a bit of warmth this February! It houses a range of beautiful tropical and temperate plants including banana, pink powder puff and bird of paradise. There is also a popular goldfish pond and observation beehive for little ones to spot some splashy and buzzy friends.
