Lauderdale House's Easter Treasure Hunt returns! At this magnificent historic house in Highgate you can hunt for the Giant Bunny in a free Easter Trail around Waterlow Park, complete with a treasure map and a series of riddles and clues. If you’re one of the first 100 people to complete the trail you’ll be rewarded with a small chocolate surprise!

The amazing array of free family events hosted by Southbank Centre means it’s regularly on our shortlist of top activities, and their Ceilidh Jam with Folk Dance Remixed event this Easter sounds like so much fun! Move, groove and party with maypole dancing, ceilidh favourites and street dance moves, all tied together with live beatboxing and a fiddle band.

Even in the capital you can still find tranquil spaces which allow you and your little ones to enjoy nature and animals – the perfect activity for Easter! A couple of our favourites are Surrey Docks Farm – a working city farm and charity that enables the whole community to learn about farming, food production and the natural environment - and Hackney City Farm, which offers children and grown-ups the opportunity to get up close to a range of farmyard animals, veggies and plants.

Right opposite Tottenham Court Road station, the incredible free interactive art exhibition The Spaces In Between by UK artist Rupert Newman takes you from the bottom of the ocean, ascending through the natural world into the heights of space. If you're looking for a bit of time out from the rush of the city, this special free event at the V&A could be just the ticket. In these 60-minute sessions families are invited to explore nature and mindfulness together, taking part in drawing and movement exercises inspired by the museum’s collection, followed by screenings of dance films that celebrate the magic of the natural world.
