Thinktank is a great choice for a fun day out; it’s full of interactive displays and family-friendly activities. Whilst there is a charge for general admission, families can still enjoy one of Thinktank’s most engaging spaces for free after 3pm. The Science Garden is located just in front of the main building, and has plenty of interactive exhibits for all the family!

Looking for an activity that allows you to connect with other parents and gives your little ones the chance to explore their creativity? Stryx have launched a new stay and play session that provides children with a community-based environment to take part in fun activities whilst giving their grown-ups the chance to meet other parents in the area. The session is held every Friday from 1:30pm-3:00pm and is completely free!

Lickey Hills Country Park is one of Birmingham’s most picturesque parks, and has 524 acres of scenery to enjoy. Within the park there is a café, visitor’s centre and golf course, but perhaps most importantly an adventure playground! Parking for the park is free, and closes at 9:45pm.

Lego has always been a popular toy enjoyed by families, and in this free play session, you and your child can let your creativity run wild! Taking place on the 30th May from 10am to 12pm, Moor Pool Hall provides all the materials so that your little one can build a Lego piece of art.

If you’re eager for your family to experience nature this May, then the Martineau Gardens are the perfect outing. In this community garden just 2 miles from the city centre, families can enjoy this small oasis as an escape from the city. Plus, children can take part in The Stick ManTrail; an exciting self-guided trail that allows them to explore the natural world.
